DESCRIPTION:National Night Out is held every year on the first Tuesday in A
 ugust as a way for neighbors to connect with each other and build safer co
 mmunities. It's also a great opportunity for police officers and community
  members to come together in a low-key\, positive environment centered aro
 und a block party\, BBQ \, or other sort of community gathering. The FGPD 
 encourages residents around the city to gather in their neighborhoods - wh
 ether it's a street\, block\, cul-de-sac\, or even an apartment complex - 
 on the Tuesday\, August 5\, 2025 for their event. Forest Grove Police try 
 to visit as many parties and gatherings as possible throughout the evening
