DESCRIPTION:The City of Cornelius’ Take Care of Cornelius Day is designed
  to expand disposal\, reuse\, and recycling opportunities while bringing t
 he community together to care for our streets\, parks\, and walking paths.
  Join us for a fun and rewarding day of giving back\, participate in activ
 ities like trash cleanup and flower planting\, and connect with neighbors 
 while making a positive impact. Click on the categories below for more det
 ails about each activity. Events and services will take place at various l
 ocations and times throughout the day. Please note that hazardous waste is
  not accepted at City of Cornelius cleanup events. For hazardous waste dis
 posal\, Metro offers periodic neighborhood collection events across the gr
 eater Portland area on Saturdays during the spring and fall. You can also 
 find helpful tips on how to properly dispose of common hazardous materials
