The Corn Roast began as a welcome for incoming educators.

Be on the lookout for Colonel Cornelius, the official Corn Roast mascot!

It is still the biggest day of our year.

The festival was established in 1964 as a way to introduce incoming educators and to celebrate the beginning of fall. It is now a day of food, vendors, games, crafts, music, children's events and roasted corn, on a street closed for the day.
