A Place Where Families and Businesses Thrive
Much of the brick downtown went up in the 1890s, and the campus runs straight into it.
A stroll around the campus and downtown takes you past many of the state's oldest giant sequoias.
Forest Grove sits in the foothills of the Coast Range, 35 to 40 minutes west of the Portland metro area.
Although not officially designated as a historic district, downtown Forest Grove has all the charm and character of one. Many of its brick buildings date back to the 1890s, following a period of growth in the late 1880s that brought new development, electricity, and water infrastructure. Today, Main Street and its surrounding blocks are home to antique shops, local artists, artisans, and unique storefronts that bring new life to the city's historic downtown.
