From the Board Chair

Rooted in Community

Because the strongest communities, like the healthiest forests, are rooted in community.

Willow Oelke, Board Chair, Wauna Credit Union. From her letter, July 8, 2026.

Willow Oelke of Wauna Credit Union began her term as Board Chair in July 2026.

The Forest Grove/Cornelius Chamber of Commerce is where those roots begin to intertwine. It’s where an entrepreneur finds encouragement from someone who’s walked the road before them. It’s where a small business owner discovers a resource that opens the next door. It’s where established businesses mentor emerging leaders. It’s where nonprofits, educators, government partners, and businesses come together because they recognize that a vibrant economy benefits everyone.
