Pumpkin Patch at Carpenter Creek Ranch
Carpenter Creek Ranch, a small family-run farm in Forest Grove, opens its pumpkin patch Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, Oct. 2-31, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors pick pumpkins in a fully fenced pasture alongside the farm's baby goats and mini cows, including Miniature Scottish Highland cows and Mini Zebu, with more cows to hand-feed in the next pasture. There is also a farmer-made playground built from a tractor and a combine/harvester, cider samples from the farm's homegrown apples (included with admission), and a farm store with homemade jams and jellies, kettle corn and other goodies.
General admission covers parking, entry to the pumpkin patch and the Harvester Playground; pumpkins are sold by weight. Tickets are $10 for ages 2-11 and $15 for ages 12 and up; children under 2 are free. Purchases are non-refundable. The farm takes cash, Venmo and cards (3% card fee). Closed-toed shoes are highly recommended.
On Oct. 31, admission includes two pumpkins to smash and feed to the goats and cows.
This is Carpenter Creek Ranch at 2476 SW Old Hwy 47, not Carpenter Creek Farm & Winery.
